PUMP OFF PLUGS / LANDING NIPPLES
The PEDCOR Landing Nipple is attached to the bottom of the coiled tubing with an aluminum pump off plug press fitted into the end of the landing nipple.
In operation, the coiled tubing string is run down hole with the landing nipple attached with the aluminum pump off plug preventing any well fluids or gasses into the coiled tubing. At desired depth pressure is applied inside the coiled tubing and the aluminum plug is pumped off, thus allowing flow up the coiled tubing.
When the coiled tubing is to be retrieved, the pump down dart is circulating down the coiled tubing and landed in the landing nipple and locked in position as a no-go type plug. The dart holds pressure in both directions.
